Taylor Engle, Four Star Veterinary Service, and James A. Kober, West Michigan Livestock Consulting, LLC, will lead this free, one-hour educational offering.

During this webinar, Engle and Kober will discuss the importance of water on the farm, including Neogen Success stories, continual water treatment, water line treatment and the profitability of water treatment.
Engle studied biology at St. Lawrence University in upstate New York. From there, he embarked on a master’s degree at the University of Nebraska – studying porcine circovirus. Engle received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree from Virginia Tech in 2018 and then joined Four Star Veterinary Service, where he works with both hogs and cattle. Additionally, he has taught animal science at Wright State University in an adjunct position.
Kober grew up on a diversified livestock, fruit and crop farm in west central Michigan. He earned a bachelor’s degree in animal science in 1983 and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1987, both from Michigan State University. His first job was at a mixed animal practice in southwest Michigan. After two years, he moved to a swine-only practice in central Indiana. In 1993, Kober started a swine-only practice in Holland, Mich., where he practiced until 2020. He now owns and operates a 4,200-head contract finishing barn and does independent consulting, primarily on water quality for all livestock species.
